Get inspired by Northern Ireland: Still dodging the chaos of travelling abroad? Treat yourself to a staycation in the Emerald Isle

Desperate for a holiday? With stunning scenery, exciting sights and some excellent pub grub, Northern Ireland is a top pick for your UK staycation. Here are some of the key things to see…

Spooktacular surprises at Warwick Castle

Known to the Irish as the 8th wonder of the world, the awesome Giant’s Causeway comprises of around 40,000 interlocking hexagonal basalt columns resulting from an ancient volcanic fissure eruption (or built by the legendary mythical Irish giant Finn MacCool…depending on who you speak to!). Located on the north coast in country Antrim, and impressively awarded UNESCO ‘site of world heritage’ – alongside the likes of Mount Everest, Giant’s Causeway and its unique rock formations are definitely worth a visit!

Causeway Coast & Dunluce Castle

Dubbed one of the world’s ultimate road trips, Causeway Coast is home to Giant’s Causeway, but there’s plenty more to see! Stretching 195 miles from Londonderry to Belfast with cinematic cliffs looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean, you can brave the old fisherman’s Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge strung between cliffs, explore the medieval Dunluce Castle or swing by Ireland’s oldest distillery for a sample of Bushmills Whiskey. 100% Road-trip worthy*.

-The best way to explore this exciting route is by car, so why not get your mates, partner or family on board and share the driving with a temporary Jaunt policy?

Titanic Belfast

If Leo (or Kate!) had your heart racing in the 1997 blockbuster, why not check out the history at Titanic Belfast. Telling the story of Titanic from conception, through the construction and launch, her voyage and consequent place in history, Titanic Belfast is a leading tourist attraction with it’s iconic building and surrounding Maritime Mile which is home to the last remaining White Star Line vessel – SS Nomadic. We would definitely recommend Titanic Belfast for a visit, but I could go on and on…

Glens of Antrim

Whilst exploring County Antrim you may stumble upon this outstanding natural beauty, made up of nine glens (valleys) which are packed full of stunning sights. From castles and historic villages to waterfalls and ancient rock formations, the glens are home to a rich array of wildlife, with all roads leading to the ocean, making for a fab tourist adventure destination. Fun fact – each of the nine glens has their own name and individual charm to explore – one for the adventurers!
